Every accelerator runs mock pitches. It's become as standard as office hours and demo day itself. And for good reason — seeing founders pitch live, under pressure, with real-time feedback, seems like the most authentic preparation possible.
But there's a problem: most programs run mock pitches too early, on decks that aren't ready, and use them as the primary feedback mechanism. The result is that founders get a lot of coaching on delivery when their fundamental story is still broken.

Run them in the right order, and you'll find that mock pitches become dramatically more productive. Judges can go deeper. Feedback is more specific. Founders leave with clear, actionable next steps — not just "be more confident."
